What the app collects

zQuotes does not collect, transmit, or track your personal data. The app has no accounts, advertising, analytics, tracking technologies, or third-party SDKs. Its reading and collection features run locally and make no network requests.

What stays on your device

Your favorites, personal and imported quotes, and app settings are stored locally on the device where you use zQuotes. There is no app-provided iCloud sync or developer-operated server storing your collection. Widgets use the bundled quote catalog; your personal collection and favorites are not shared with the widget extensions.

You can import a local JSON file up to 10 MB using Apple's system file picker. The file is read to add quotes to your local collection. The app does not upload the file or your imported quotes.

Apple operating-system backups may contain local app data, depending on your device and backup settings. Apple controls those backup services. Deleting zQuotes may remove its local favorites, personal quotes, and settings. The app has no built-in export feature, so keep your own copy of any original import files you want to preserve.

Optional links and sharing

If you choose to open a source link, your browser opens the external website. That website's privacy practices apply to your visit. If you choose to share a quote, Apple's system share sheet passes the content to the app or service you select. The selected service handles it under its own privacy practices.

Support messages

If you email support, the developer receives the content of your message, your email address, and any attachments you choose to send. This information is used to respond to your request and troubleshoot the issue. The app does not send support information automatically. Please send only information relevant to your request.

Support messages may remain in the developer's email records while needed to handle and refer back to your request. Contact us if you would like to request deletion of a support message.

This website

This website has no analytics scripts, advertising, or analytics cookies. Its hosting provider receives normal web-request information, such as your IP address, requested page, browser information, and request time, to deliver and operate the website. That hosting activity is separate from the zQuotes app, which does not send app-usage data to this website.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version and effective date will appear on this page.
